Lisbon Under Stars by OCUBO

As mais de 30 mil espectadores que encheram as sessões diárias do "Lisbon Under Stars" durante os dois meses em que esteve em exibição nas Ruínas da Igreja do Carmo em 2018, e a atribuição do prémio BEA para Best Cultural Event 2018, ditaram o seu regresso.

São as próprias paredes do Carmo, transformadas numa tela tridimensional e na voz inconfundível de Catarina Furtado, que nos contam esta aventura, pelos mais de 600 anos da história de Lisboa e de Portugal. Marcos como a Batalha de Aljubarrota, a Era dos Descobrimentos, o terramoto de 1755 ou a Revolução dos Cravos são apenas alguns momentos históricos que compõem este espetáculo imersivo, criado e produzido por OCUBO.

Cada momento desta viagem única, será enfatizado com as notas de Amália Rodrigues, Fernando Lopes Graça, Luis Freitas Branco, Madredeus, Salvador Sobral e Zeca Afonso. LISBON UNDER STARS conta ainda com várias participações especiais como Mariza, Rão Kyao e Teresa Salgueiro, entre outros. 

No centro dos acontecimentos, o público pode circular livremente pelo espaço, ver, ouvir e apreciar diferentes perspectivas desta viagem imersiva e envolver-se nesta marcante vivência audiovisual e sensorial, que tem sempre lá no alto as estrelas a lembrar-nos da verdadeira dimensão do Universo e da nossa condição humana no espaço e no tempo.

LISBOA UNDER STARS - IMMERSIVE SPECTACLE

The more than 30,000 spectators attending the two-month daily sessions on display at the Carmo Archaeological Museum in 2018 and receiving the BEA Best Cultural Event of 2018 dictated their return.

It is Carmo's own walls, transformed into a three-dimensional screen and in the voice of Catarina Furtado, a great portuguese host, that tell us this adventure, over more than 600 years of the city and Portugal. Historical landmarks as the Battle of Aljubarrota, the Age of Discovery, the earthquake of 1755 or “Cravos” Revolution are just a few moments that make up this immersive show.

Each moment of this unique journey will be emphasized with Amália Rodrigues, Fernando Lopes Graça, Luis Freitas Branco, Madredeus, Salvador Sobral and Zeca Afonso’s notes. LISBON UNDER STARS also has the special participation of Mariza, a renowned fado singer, and great names of various Portuguese musical styles, such as Rão Kyao and Teresa Salgueiro, among others.

At the centre of the event, the public can move freely through space, see, hear and appreciate different perspectives of this time travel, in this emblematic cultural landscape that are Carmo’s Ruins, which always have up in the sky the stars, reminding us the Universe’s true dimension and our human condition in space and time.
